Italian Luxury

Restrained luxury from Milan - the signature of the large flat

INTRO

How Italian light luxury is created

The luxury of Italian light luxury comes from a dialogue between materials: the warmth of natural veneer, the coolness of sintered stone and the sharpness of metal set against one another on the same wall. It relies not on piled ornament but on the grade of the material itself.

For this style CMITAL leads with the S3 wood veneer series: AA-grade natural veneer in continuous book-matched grain so the pattern flows across seams, finished with brushed brass trim and sintered-stone tops for a typical Italian vocabulary.

FAQ

About this style

Does wood veneer look dated?
What looks dated is dark reddish wood and high-gloss lacquer. Italian light luxury uses semi-transparent pale walnut and smoked oak, where you can see the grain but not the film - close to solid wood in appearance and more stable.
How is veneer different from solid wood?
Wood veneer is 0.6 mm natural veneer cold-pressed onto a plywood substrate - stable and resistant to warping. Solid wood is a full piece of timber that can be carved, repaired and handed down. The former suits large elevations; the latter suits doors, columns and furniture bodies.
Is a sintered-stone counter expensive? Do I need it everywhere?
No. The most cost-effective use of sintered stone is as a focal accent: a sideboard top, an island top, or one TV-wall panel. Use wood veneer elsewhere and the overall cost stays controlled while the effect is still striking.
